Yesterday I called Bond Arms and ordered a barrel at 50% off (bought my Snake Slayer in Nov.) I selected the .45GAP My thinking is: A short, fat, hot cartridge should maximize the ballistics of that 3" tube.

I looked on Ballistics By The Inch" and was dismayed by the .45Colt ballistics from a short barrel.

Hope I'am right. At any rate a different gun for $73.00!!

I too ordered a 2nd barrel (for my Snake Slayer, 3 1/2" .410/.45colt) - chose the 4 1/4" barrel in .357mag/.38spec

I "carry" the .410 w/7 1/2 shot while doing chores around the property - got the .357mag barrel for back up and range duty - if the .357mag "hurts" too much at the range, I'll practice with .38spec

hopefully neither barrel will be used in anger, but.....
