I took my Bond derringer for it's first Cowboy Action Shooting side
match yesterday. The scenario was you were playing cards at the Saloon and
discover that one of the "Soiled Doves" was telling your opponent what
cards you were holding.....One thing leads to another and gun play
erupts....
From the table you grab your trusty derringer or
pocket pistol and shoot it out with both your opponent and his
accomplice....head shots and heart shots were worth 10 points the
surrounding zones were worth 5 points and the periphery hits were worth 1
point....
I ended up with two perfect head shots in 4.7 seconds for 20 points, thereby winning the derringer side match...
I was shooting a 200 grain lead RNFP over a charge of 6 grains of Red Dot, so it was a bit "Snappy", but it did the job!
