Yesterday I took a trip out to the ranch to "Check the fences"..... For this trip, I took my 3" S&W M-629 loaded with .44 special Winchester Silver Tips and my Bond Arms derringer loaded with 3" .410 shotshells with #6 shot.....I think the pair of handguns made a nice combo for running around the ranch.......Here is a pic of my rig:

Nice pairing and nice holsters, Did anything pop out at you. Like perhaps a snake?

How does that pattern with the shot, Mick? I have only shot it at a tree and the spread seemed about 2-3 feet. With the short barrel the shot appears to open up pretty fast, but good enough for "Minute of snake"......

Nice pairing and nice holsters, Did anything pop out at you. Like perhaps a snake? Thanks! I felt it was a nice combo for anything that I might run across.....We did not see any critters running around, but I think it still might be a bit early for snakes.....We are getting some snow today, so I think it is just too cold for them to be out moving around....

Mick, With that outfit,it looks pretty well that you are set for just about anything. The Bond 410,is it 2.5 or 3 inch? I am pretty well divided between the 2.5 or 3 inch but to me,the smaller bbl seems to pack a bit better. Many "buzzworms" in your area??? Top Dog
